It should come as no surprise that the most expensive and sought-after card in the Pokemon Shining Fates expansion set is a Charizard card. More specifically the card that people are searching for in the newest set is the Charizard VMAX card which features a shiny Charizard in all of its black-scaled beauty.

Shining Fates didn't release until November 2021, leaving over a year gap between Charizard VMAX cards. This time it was a shiny Charizard, hidden in the Shiny Vault subset. According to a sample size of 2,000 packs, this is the hardest Charizard VMAX to pull. Your chances of pulling this one are about 1:271 packs.

As with almost any set ever, Charizard is the one everybody wants. In Shining Fates this is even moreso, as his Shiny (alternative color schemes Pokémon have a very slim chance of appearing in sometimes) is one of the most popular in the whole series. Pull a Charizard VMAX and you're looking at well over $600.

Shining Fates is an awesome set of cards with a lot of near guaranteed good pulls. Hard to get but Best Buy gives a much better chance than most other websites.

Obsidian Flames' pull rates are on par with the generous rates of the other Scarlet & Violet sets.

So, all in all, it does not matter if you are a collector or a competitive player, Crown Zenith is definitely a great expansion.
